  • Hi everyone just wondering what happens what do if someone you know has recently passed away. One of my uncles whom I was close with passed away and I'm tearing up as i write this (sorry for bad grammar). He had a big impact on my life and it's hard doing exams while grieving. His funeral is next Monday, at the same time as when I have my English exam. I was really hoping for English to count as my top 5 subjects. Could anyone who has had experience in this let me know what marks u get for your external if you were in a similar situation to this? As far as i know they use your IAs and scale them. Its really overwhelming with everything that's going on so id really love to have some certainity with all this thats going on. I do get that if u got 100% in IAs ur not gonna get 100% in the external, but doing well on English is somewhat important to me. Thanks in advance.
