  • Check out the yr 12 syllabus for your selected subjects and the dotpoints, see if there have been any recent syllabus changes eg Eng adv changed in 2018 so new syllabus stuff begins with the 2019 hsc paper ect.
This stuff below you can even start after you've completely learnt all your prelim content and you'll still be fine
Practise HSC past papers based on your subjects and work from your weaknesses (even if you don't know the content, find the solutions and pick up how they respond to the question, also try and identify patterns in the types of questions they try to ask), Also if your school has access to edrolo maximise and memorise as soon as possible cause it will really help if u start early, though around term 2 is a good time to be working on your notes so don't stress (though still make them throughout the year). These are the stuff I started doing at the start of year twelve and kind of dropped the ball throughout the year and I wish I had sustained throughout because it's probably the best way to study (in my opinion)
and by all accounts get as much practise as you can cause yr 12 flies. But enjoy it and stay relaxed!
    Good luck!

  • Internal assessments are only half the ranking, whatever your results were in the trials, this is your chance to pull it even higher. YOU'VE GOT THIS!
    Good luck!

  • Lixin Based on my own schooling life, I think at the end of the day it's how efficiently and how smart you study rather than how hard you work or how good you are. Like you can work as hard as anything and not get the marks you want. You also can be naturally smart and pull of only a decent mark (kinda like the hare and the tortoise story). What matters is your incentive to beat your own record and your interest in what you do. Thus I would say it comes down to determination and believing that you are capable (:

  • Think stuff that relates to the power of storytelling eg. everytime a character entered narnia in the narnia series (by wardrobe, painting, watching a train go past ect., Alice falling down the rabbit hole and entering wonderland, all the places the little girl from Aaron Becker's picture book 'journey' by simply drawing with a red crayon.
Also when it comes to metaphors using aspects of nature like water, flowers ect. would also help and with themes see which ones apply to your related text, for more variety I've attached a list here.

    Hope this helps!

  • rst This is actually so true, I've literally noticed this since high school began. Like Bruh someone's gotta fix it. (lol if I ever become a teacher or something someday)

  • Anyone got any last minute tips for Chemistry or Math advanced? Or even English Adv, Bus or Eco?
