Letshope Yeah it's so bitter-sweet when you have to leave friends behind, but I'm so excited for mac rob. It really feels like hardly any people got in this year so I'm really grateful.

Guys, out of the 5 people that applied from my school to MGHS I was the only one that got in and I'm actually terrified. I keep telling them that there's always round 2 but I have to face the fact I'll probs be going into year 9 alone. (((

Also I saw on the Victorian website it says that a maximum of 4 percent of students can be accepted from one school into any selective school. Does this 4 percent mean like 4 percent of the total number of people who get accepted, or 4 percent of people who take the exam from my school.

Tutoring is out of the question, I think I have a good chance of getting into at least my second preference, because I have no academic competition at my current school. That sadly means i have no way to determine how smart I am compared to others. I if I continue to study hard I should at least get into nossal, (2nd pref)

NSN Ah I see, tutoring is so damn expensive though, I'll probably fail.

Thanks, I'm just curious what you did to prepare for the exam, did you do James An or any course for the entrance exam??

NSN didn't they change numerical to quantitative?? Also what are the topics most covered in the math one, is there a lot of linear Algebra? Anyway I hope you get into the school you want.

I will be taking the entrance exam next year and I am very confused as to what to study, I have looked at the practice tests on the Victorian government website but have been told these are outdated. It would be very appreciated if someone could give me some relevant resources to study. Also my goal is to get into Mac Rob so should I just be studying year 9 and 10 content in general?
