to add on to what novahkiin said, if you do specialist aswell long division will be better in the long run when you do long division with complex numbers, but its up to you.

honestly, I never had to do synthetic division, if you get really good at long division and quick at it it wont make a difference.
I havent replied on here for a while.
I never ended up doing ESP at uq because there were just other things i wanted to focus on (guitar, gym, working) and thus far doing suicide 6 isn't too bad ( I can already imagine external exam time being f##ked), I ended up getting 14/25 on my english for IA1 lol, thankfully it wont be in my top 5. just a cheeky lil updatethe -4 represents 2 things, one is the factor of dilation and the other is a reflection on the x-axis. Since its negative it will flip, and it dilated by a factor of 4
if you felt alright with the year 9/10 chemistry stuff and your willing to have a quick read over the year 11 content i dont see why you couldnt do well, the year 12 content does use the knowledge from year 11 BUT that prerequisite knowledge is taught again (or simply revised) when you learn a topic.
yes, just keep above 85% and youll be sweet i reckon.
usually it isnt leslie matrices in their basic form, it could be an extension of it that you have to research, for my assignment i had to do a lefkovitch matrix (a type of leslie matrix), using Ax = λx, it is known that the eigen value represents the rate of growth, so if it is >1 the species will be increasing in population, if =1 stays same, if <1 it is decreasing which is what i presume your model will show. You dont need a tutor, look at the qcaa past paper high level response. I followed the same structure sheet by speranza and got a 20/20. if u need any more help just ask.
i understand you think you need 20s and 100s to get your atar but i think youll be suprised at what youll get + bonus points for your atar because u do specialist for when you apply for uni, keep that in mind.u think if i get 18/20 at least for all my SE and RI and 85% or more in math exams enough?
the course i want to get into requires a 99 atar (physio at UQ), as i do specialist i get 2 adjustment points, just wondering what grades i would need to get to get 97 atar.
for my IA1 i got these results for my top 5 subjects:
bio - 10/10
chem - 9/10
physics - 7/10 (i bombed it so bad)
specialist - 20/20
methods - 19/20
would consistently getting a 19/20 in all my SE and RI be enough and 90+% in methods and 80%+ in specialist enough?use ai
lets assume the australian phone numbers 04xx xxx xxx are true for the question.
this means that there are 8 different positions for numbers to be assigned to and from 0-9 are the numbers available.
for the first number there are simply 9 options, AND (and= multiply the numbers), for the second number there are also 9 available numbers. So, 9x9.....x9, is the total phone number combinations where it is multiplied by itself 8 times (since that is the amount of different positions).
so the answer is 9x9x9x9x9x9x9x9, or simply, 98=43046721
Hopefully this is right, haven't done this since last yearworry about vectors (if possible try to learn and understand 3d vectors) not needed as you will cover 3d in unit 3 and matrices, also learn complex numbers. Other than that there isn't too much you need to focus on, don't learn the proof topic but make sure you understand the basics of it (Induction is pretty cruisy). In summary Vectors, Matrices and complex numbers are the overlapping topics. I am assuming you already did unit 1 and 2 of methods so the calculus should be fine.
if u got any more questions don't hesitate to ask.WelcomeToHell
had mine today, in the same boat as you ahahah. I felt somewhat prepared but the complex unfamiliar questions just confused the absolute heck out of me and I didn't know where to start.WelcomeToHell ive been focusing on revision more so now that im nearly finished my assignments for all sciences, I ended up getting a 20/20 for my specialist assignment (idk why i did better in it than methods but oh well). After I get my assignment results from this term I will give a big update on that and I will be enrolling in ESP at UQ for calculus and linear algebra 1. Idk just remembered about this journal and wanted to update, ive just been focussing on gym and school and neglecting school a bit but should still be able to pull through as I get most of the work done in class.

Hi! I've been reading your journal as well ahah. Although I am aiming for the grades to get into med it might not be the career path I end up choosing, I've been looking at engineering and teaching but hopefully I make up my mind by end of yr 12 ahah. so aiming for mid 90s however it may change depending on how my career research develops.I got a 16/20 on my PSMT for methods and was just wondering if anyone could have a read over it and show me where I went wrong, I thought that I would get at least an 18/20 because of the reaction of other teachers.

Ok I am back with all my data test results! I just handed in my PSMT's for methods and spec this week so I should get the grades back over the holidays. As goes with english, handed in today and do not care much about it.
I did ok in the data tests but I need to improve it a lot if I really want to get into med, my grades were:
Biology=18/21 which goes to a 9/10
Chemistry=18/20 which goes to a 9/10
Physics=16/20 which goes to an 8/10
Overall I was ok with all of the exams except for Physics, I walked out of the fia1 so confident thinking I was gonna get at least an 18/20 but oh well. The reasons I did not get full marks for chem and bio are because I didn't refer to the data enough and generalized the information without giving evidence, which cost me not getting 100%. As with the maths reports, I am confident with both, hopefully they are at least 18's/20 which is a HUGE step up from last year where I got a C on my math's report, but you never know I could get another C. Guess we'll have to wait.
For anyone who has an Idea, will a 9/10 for the data test suffice for a good overall grade as I am not entirely sure as to how I am going to go in the research investigation and student experiments?
Patty.All done with block exams!!! YAY!
Bio, Chem and physics FA1 are all over and I am pretty confident with how I performed in all, I am also happy with my PSMT's for methods and spec which I am handing in finals next week. Just wanted to give an update,
For the data tests I didn't study, this year I felt like the tests were something you do not really "have to" study for. Is this going to be the same in year 12? we'll see. Also, English is so meh ahahah, just don't want to put the effort in as it is soooooo boring. Anyhoo I will post my results and reflect on how I feel about them because I feel like I will bum atleast one of my assessments (other than english which idc about).

Thank you!!!
also, follow up question.
I am somewhat remote from campus, it says I can complete externally through elearn etc. But I am unsure how exams would work? It would be ok if I went to campus just for the exam, but there is also workshops which I don't know what they are there for and If I need to be present.
Long question short. I am ok to do it externally right?
