_ Hello! I've seen on this forum that most people are talking about year 9 entry and not year 10 entry, which isn't really helpful. Year 10 entry can range from difficult to boarder line impossible depending on what school you choose to sit, with schools like Nossal and MGHS relying on vacancies from the previous year while MHS and SCHS will always have on minimum 26 spots available.
What I did for studying was spam practice tests and did A LOT of reviewing and reflection on my past mistakes, like instead of looking at a mistake and brushing it off as a silly mistake, I would instead really dissect the little things like my thought process at the time and how stressed I was. From my past posts have gone more in depth on some of my study habits if u would want more.
The test was really easy and I was able to get 4 superiors 1 aa, but its still very possible to get in with less than that if u have strong extra curriculars and a good interview.This is a post for me(or anyone) to tell that they are leaving the site for a long time. I may come back during VCE but now I find this website to not be as fun or useful as it was before, as I've encountered more uneducated opinions than proper advice(not from recent events just in the past months), and already fulfilled what I needed from this site. My departure won't leave much of a impact so I just wanted to state this straight so no one would ask where I went. I hope the best for everyone's dreams and aspirations.

But like SCHS doesn't even care about rankings that much, they still happy where they are. They would rather have there students be happy and shi, like they incentivizes a lot in music and other VCE subjects that scale down cus they want their students to learn more than what they need for their careers. Also they introduced this thing THRIVE thing which teaches about life skills like doing taxes and shi. MB I went on a massive rant, all I really am saying is that SCHS isn't something to be sad about getting in, but go for the other selective schools if u want.
cl I feel like half the SCHS slander is underserved, but like I really hope the next cohort can lock in and get us like top 25 at least, cus the school has made a lot of changes.

We don't have 'big' problems, its jus we got too many crashouts dragging us down(like they ain't even dumb they are genuinely smart but they don't wanna put the work in). Also MHS and NHS better because most MHS kids come from well off families and NHS is surrounded by well developed and rich neighborhoods, where kids can afford better tuition and the schools get more funding.Dosanjh (NHS) Bangladesh

I mean it depends on who you are. I somewhat studied as I had cast on my arm before the test, only got it off like a week or 2 before it. My friend got 4 sups and 1aa and he said he jus played fortnite all day, he didn't even need to do that good on the test tho cus he has a bunch of basketball achievements. But my other friend got 5 sups and studied a lot.
