I would recommend finding prompts online and working on them. You should also try and wedge them in sentences where you're describing how characters feel or what a place looks like.

MHS successful candidate Personally, I didn't plan. This doesn't sound very smart, but trust me, it worked very well for me. I go with the flow and take barely a minute to just create the story. Make sure to use tons of figurative language, fit in similes, metaphors, and rhetorical questions if its persuasive.
