  • melonman205 I don't think the post mentions much about the JMSS environment, but from what I hear from my mates, who are JMSS students, the enviroment is great and everyone knows everyones and the environment there feels like a close-knit family. One of the reasons that compelled me to apply for JMSS and accepting my offer to JMSS, depsite living in the West as well, was that the cohort would be filled with like-minded students and students who also want to pursue a career in science. An environment like this, in my opinion, really helps with your confidence in your career selection, as you know you wouldn't be alone in making the decision, and encourages you to work harder towards it, as other students in the cohort would be doing the same.

Wishing you the best of luck with your future endeavours and I hope you come to make a decision you are happy with (:

    • yolo Hi Whoami,

I am not a JMSS student as of yet, however I will be joining the current Year 10 JMSS cohort next year as a New Year 11, and I reckon based on the information I have received, regarding my VCE Subject Selection at JMSS, I am able to answer your question.

At the time of writing, JMSS does not offer 1/2 or 3/4 Legal studies. However under Humanities, you are able to pick the following and must pick at least one as a breadth subject:
      following

As for the limit of science subjects you can do in VCE, you are required to do a minimum of 2 science subjects and are able to do 3 at the maximum.

Again, I am not a JMSS student as of yet and it would be better to get advice from a student who is currently studying at JMSS, but I hope this helps (:

      • HI everyone!

I'll be moving schools at the end of this year and will have to be on public transport for quite a while, to and from school. I was wondering if, as I am travelling, would I be able to complete homework/revise/study on a laptop or iPad? Or would it be too difficult considering the noise and train-rocking??

        Kind regards, jamesss (:

Recently released book but, imo, an instant classic, and instantly became my favourite book. If you love Science and loved reading The Martian, which was also written by Andy Weir, you'll love the hell out of Project Hail Mary.
