  • I got told there weren't going to be group interviews but they're one on one interviews. You'll need to make a small CV or Resume about yourself. I got told that it would be better to wear school uniform for the interviews, but someone also said that wearing something casual or semi-formal would be better. (unsure though)

I think that as long as your test scores are higher than those 4 people you have a really good chance of getting in as I was told they take in students from a variety of different schools rather than a lot from one school.

  • How was the exam for everyone? And did anyone receive interview offers?

Some people for JMSS year 11 had their exams around 2-4 weeks ago and have already gotten interview offers

  • how did your year 11 entry exam go? Did you get an interview?

    hey,

I actually have heard of RL Tuition, and apparently it is really good! I believe that they do one on one but also teach in groups, and they have a different range of subjects to choose from. (I have only seen the boxhill one)

    hii,

i just did the year 11 exam and honestly, it wasn't too hard, but it was definitely more reliant on your time management skills than knowing the content, as most of the questions were really easy (unless you do science reasoning or the science test which relied more on what you have learned over your years of studying). However, obviously, you can't always finish every question on a test, but the range in terms of your time management is 30 secs per question.

    hope this helps!

you can use anything as long as it's dark enough for the scanner to read. I personally use a pen because it was easier to write with it and more efficient, but yea a pencil should be allowed for JMSS but I'm not quite sure with other selective exams.

      Hii,

I'm a former student who attended both JAC and Brain works, and in my opinion, I don't think that either of those will prepare you extremely well, unless you take a JAC course that includes trial test, as it may help you get into the habit of time management. I recommend you take a year higher as well in order to gain the best chance in learning and studying for the test.

      Goodluck!!
