bluebettafish Nope not just you it usually takes me 20 mins but this time it nearly took me a whole 40-50
bluebettafish tbh it was very the MCQ was very similar to the 2021 and 2020 whereas the 10 marker was like the 2017/2018 one
atarwonders YEPP AND WE DIDNT NEED TO EVALUATE THE RESEARCH METHODS WOOHOO
jakstar2468 i think twinklehello recommended IDEAS if you scroll up a bit, but personally I'm comfortable with literally answering the question in the order presented as well as using paragraphs and adding any other AOS that could be linked to the scenario/research.
Also best of luck for everyone hopefully the 10 marker isn't too bad and vcaa spares us
twinklehello Stressed, but hopefully in a eustressful way
yellowdog23 Probably nearing the end of resistance
twinklehello catastrophe is an unpredictable, uncontrollable event that affects the community on a wide scale like a tsunami while a major stressor is an event that is extraordinarily stressful for all individuals that experience it like victims to a crime
twinklehello yeah im going over research methods rn because 2021 was majorly that
Housestark22 I don't really have a format but I recommend just planning for 5-10 mins and using paragraphs. Make sure to always link to the scenario or research and throw in definitions to show your assessor you have a good understanding of the content
Housestark22 Basically breathing retraining the process of identifying unhealthy breathing habits and replacing them with correct ones, (its kind of like CBT but breathing version) . Self efficacy is belief in the ability to perform behaviour needed to reach a goal and is a psychological risk factor. Someone that has poor self efficacy is usually doubting themselves and always perceives that they would receive the worst outcome. For example on a past paper there was a scenario of a women having trouble at work and she thought that it would never resolve, hence she has poor self efficacy.
Also you are not alone, literally don't know what to do today as well but my teacher recommended to go over notes and mistakes on past trials
sasushi Thank u so much ur a lifesaver i didnt even know that
Hey guys on the 2021 vcaa MCQ question 14, im confused on why its C. Usually the duration of STM is 15-20 seconds and then 30 seconds if maintenance rehearsal is used.
sasushi Frr the sample response was so good i thought it was some bio exam
BriMT Thank youuu makes so much sense
Hi can anyone explain 1c short answer from vcaa 2021, like since when did they want answers like that
twinklehello Thank youu!!!
atarwonders Systematic desensitisation is a form of therapy where the individual is exposing to a fear producing hierarchy and is simultaneously paired with a breathing technique to gradually extinguish the fear response. An individual with a fear of bees may be presented with a fear hierarchy (picture of a bee, bee in a cage and so on) until the most feared stimulus, bees, while practicing the breathing technique. Hence, this process is continued until the individual shows no response to the bees.
Hope this helps also can anyone give me any critics or feedback
Also guys just a question, what is the cerebral cortex role in memory?
