Im in year 11 and my current subjects are English, gen math, bio, psych, food, extra study period.
I recently switched from legal studies to food studies, but now I’m unsure if it was the right choice. I think I switched too quickly and should have stayed in my original subject to give it more time and see if it was manageable. (I had to pick food because it was the only option it was available) I originally switched because I was worried about workload—since I’m also taking psychology and biology, which are both heavy subjects.
People say legal studies involve a lot of writing, and I thought food studies might be easier to manage. When I asked my Year 11 coordinator about switching, I mentioned that I had no cooking experience and hadn’t taken food studies in Years 9 or 10. She reassured me that there wouldn’t be many cooking pracs.
However, after switching, I saw the study planner and realized that cooking is scheduled once a week. I wasnt satisfied with the study planner and I think there is about two SACs where I have to cook independently, which I don’t feel prepared for. Now, I’m questioning whether I made the right decision.
In legal studies I am aware of how much work it has but however my writing skills are not that good, especially with my writing pace. What skills are needed to do well in Legal
Studies and Food Studies, and what are
the challenges? Also what are reasons I should or not take the subject?
Should I juat stick with food or switch back to my original subject (it's been 5 weeks, so I'm not sure if I can still change)?
I'm sooo indecisive right now so pls answer soon
