You're so right, private schools are NOT as good as everyone thinks they are..but tbf this is my 2nd high school and ngl I have to say it is WAY better than the public school i used to go to....at my old school it was a normal occurence to walk past people physically fighting and people recording and stuff....so i'm glad i got away from THAT....though the kids at private schools r still cooked ig....

YEAH ITS NOT FAIRRR. I mean sometimes in religion we can use them to study but other times it just to teach some stuff we already know or thats not exactly that helpful. Like i don't know how i'm gonna use some of the stuff I learn in it. Though, I think religion was actually okay in younger year levels and it was actually kind of interesting and helpful at some point but in YEAR 12??? Hell nah....likes its our final year please let us just have the damn study period!!! Like, I have mixed feelings about it actually....I mean once we did mindful eating and that was fun 😝 But I just feel like as year 12s, we should be allowed to not have to do it??? AND THE STUDY CONTRACT THING IS SO ANNOYING istg....

It was basically a free for all—no one actually did any work. I even tried raising the concern, but of course, nothing was done. Typical private school behavior LOL. Their priorities are always somewhere else

Yes I definitely think there are a lot of private schools in Melbourne just like this!
It's genuinely a shame that they do so much advertising for education but then don't actually help the VCE kids succeed.
Not a lot of people score in the 90s range, and it's actually pretty sad I feel really bad because I know many people who work so hard just to get pulled back by their lazy peers.
I think we will be okay! Just keep an eye on the lookout for free resources at this point.

Yeah my school's SACs were actually decently challenging but your school sounds fancy! Mine does not have all that automatic stuff 😭
I'm a bit concerned over my school's priorities as well because they absolutely don't care about rankings and only really about the uniforms or their school reputation. Even doing Bio last year I saw how DIFFICULT it was to even get a 35 study score which worries me because for a 95+ you'd need like a lot of subjects in the 40s range lol

I really do want to go into med field I think it's just automatic for a lot of Asian girls to do it so i guess I am following it as well for my family
My teachers are amazing and honestly just gotta count on them.
we should just worry about our own selves and get through the year, we're almost done anyway

Private schools were built for the teachers fr....Yeah true! You're right, though I do think its still possible to get 90+ with even with a couple high 30s though! May or may not depend on the subject but I think its still definitely possible with even a few 40s and high 30s. But yeah Ig for 95+ with our schools that must really suck😭 But dw you can do it I believe in you!! 🙌🏽

yeah I relate sm to like the fact that if you're from an asian family its kind of routine to just try for medicine....like my sister is but i'm still deciding lol.
