JMSS_hopefully spesh content is around the level of calc 2 or calc 3 (second year american college maths) and is concerned with the complex plane - so argand coords, imaginary numbers, etc, so basic calc probably won't suffice for that. as far as i'm aware, there's no calculus in the study design for general. and with methods, unless u have experience with analysis questions and the style of questions that they ask, then it'll be very hard to do them with just a basic understanding of integration, differentiation, etc. e.g integration by recognition is pretty difficult if you don't know that you're supposed to transpose for the thing you differentiated.
