froglover13 hi im a bit confused as to who we are marked against, like is it only the school we are in or is it like the entire cohort trying out. Could anyone please tell me?
a📀 froglover13 ? not sure what you mean by ‘marked against’, but the 4% rule applies to your current school’s whole year 8 cohort, not just the cohort of people trying for sehs.
.. froglover13 you are marked against everyone that tried out for the test. Then after you are marked you are ranked withing your peers at your school, the top 4% of your cohort in that ranking are eligible to gain admission if they also ranked withing the top 200 or 300 of applicants of the SEHS that they tried out for. Its a very confusing system I cl, and errors due occur causing some people to get robbed of a spot.
.. btw this isn't fact checked but my mum called ACER once and they said that they rank y'all in your school and against the applicants that tried.
