a📀 i completely agree, the test wants to find students who push themselves to be better, students who are creative and students who will persevere even through tough challenges. the thing is, it's not exactly true. the reason they don't want to see your report cards, your extracurriculars, your achievements in school, is because they don't care. they want to find students who perform well in a controlled environment, under pressure, facing extremely difficult questions, because acer is a research company, and their goal is to study trends in exam questions and see where people went wrong and how we can improve the curriculum. frankly, they dont give a crap whether any of us get in. they just want to research how we performed, why we performed this way and what we can do to improve this performance in our schools. of course they need students to actually perform well to get this research, meaning yeah they are looking for hard-working students who have prepared adequately, but at the end of the day acer just administers the tests, the actual SCHOOLS look at the results and then select people
