Can anyone explain what the difference is between a GAT and a SAC and why u take the GAT?

._. Hi There! I think the Gat is there as a 'replacement' if you don't make your test. The SAC contributes to your VCE study score! I don't really know much about this so take this with a grain of salt!

Yup KingYen is right, SACs are the small tests you do all year round before the exam, and make up usually 50% of your study score. The GAT is used to give you as a replacement for the exam if you end up not making it there (like getting sick, accidents, etc), so the questions are meant to cover all subjects. It also used to kinda predict & moderate your study score!

Sup guys, a small FYI.
A lot of ppl in my school are beginning to use AN now that it's hitting Unit 4 and things are getting serious so I will change small details here and there such as gender pronouns (teacher), dates, to remain as anonymous as I can. Most things here will be truthful tho, such as the marks I get, etc. Not much here will change, dw!!

SAC results for Unit 3 are out!! Drumroll please...
English: 80%, 91%
Lit: 94%, 92%
Psych: 65%, 93.5%
General Maths: 97.5%, 85%
Japanese SL: <results for first 2 SACS are between 85-100%, I only got verbal results>, 93%

The rankings for all except for Lit- (rank 1st and 2nd!!)- are unknown.
For Psych I guess I learnt the importance of doing practise questions the hard way😅

Maths was a significant drop and usually I would be kinda heartbroken but I am really happy w this one. Tbh, Recursion was super hard for me, the cohort as a whole did "shocking" according to my teacher, and I had nothing left to pour into this SAC as I had a Psych SAC straight after. So overall super good, after I did the SAC I was feeling lucky to scratch 70%. Unit 4 topics like Matrices are my thing so I should be fine✨
This isn't the end tho, I still have a SAC left. I can kinda feel the exhaustion and a headache creeping up on me tho so I will need all the luck I can get.

I've been sick all day today and as a result I have missed my SAC. I will try to do it before holidays. It is a big ask tho. All day I have been so so sick. I spent this morning with my head in the toilet bowl throwing up and I haven't been able to eat much all day. This is what its been like for a week. I'm super exhausted from everything rn, I feel like I have no room to breathe. Things should patch up tho when I get some rest. My goal was to pour everything I had left into my Maths and Psych SAC- which I did but now I don't think I have anything left to do this English SAC.

Last year I only felt like this at the end of the year, yet its only been 6 months and I feel this shit. At the start of the year I felt I was in great shape and I could handle Yr 12 fine, but now I feel so bad. I've just read back my VCE journal so far and there's nothing but negativity but I swear there's not much fun stuff to report on. But lately I've been having recurring dreams of $elf harm, and its been getting even worse. I can't stop thinking about it and I feel so nauseas. So I take this as a sign to take it slow from now on. My ultimate nightmare is to peak in Unit 3 and crash out Unit 4.

I just need to get this SAC out of the way but it feels impossible. I can't wait to graduate, I used to feel a bit sad thinking about graduating but at this point I just can't wait.
