aypricott honeysticks my mom called jmss and they said offers will be released on the 19th September ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Dev..? for me the interview was 15 mins + 5 minutes him answering a question I asked. At the end he told me that i put up a really good profile for myself and i shd be proud and I got a real good shot. he had to turn the page over to take notes for mine aswell. am i getting in? or did he say that to get my hopes up.
Potato_Singh honeysticks I had my interview on the second last day so idk if I could have told you that in time.
JMSS_hopefully aypricott bruh thats the same exact time the nossal pdc ones come for me aswell looks like we all praying
whisper Sleepy this came from an unreliable source so don't take my word from it but apparently they r stopping year 11 entries next year so they're increasing the yr 10 intake. so larger group of ppl to assess = more time
Jamie whisper wait, so for people applying for year 10 entry who took the exam this yr have a better chance?
whisper Jamie idk but they interviewed more ppl this year according to someone who currently goes there
sweetpotatoes123 whisper but there were also more applicants than ever before - doesn't neccessarily mean that theyre upping the intake
whisper sweetpotatoes123 yea that's why i said don't take my word for it becuse it could be either one
koala wait did anyone else get crispr? if you did, what did you say. They asked me about the negatives and i completely blanked out
aypricott koala i talked about ethical considerations, how its debated whether humans should be able to play the role of "god" in this context with animals and plants. I also talked about how the full effects of crispr sometimes are only exhibited after a few generations of offspring. The third thing i talked about was how crispr can sometimes edit unintended parts of the genome and how this can lead to mutations in the physical and intellectual capabilities of the animal and also how this can increase the risk of cancer in them. Hope this helps!
whisper aypricott stop wait that's actually so interesting i literally had no idea so i was rambling about the tomato genome editing ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
koala HOLYYY, YOU ARE DEFINITELY GETTING IN. DID YOU PICK BIO AND GET CRISPR? Also if you dont mind me asking, when did you have your interview?
aypricott koala no lmao i did choose bio for my article however i got marine biology and oxygen levels in water. At the end of my interview (which was on the 19th) i asked my interviewer about whether they offer anything about crispr at jmss and she asked me the cons of it to gauge my understanding. (also i am NOT getting in ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
koala aypricott omgg thats awesome!! dont be so negative tho, im sure you worked rlly hard and that hard work should rlly pay off. If you dont mind me asking, what time was ur interview? AND WHATS UR NAME, IM LILLY HAHA
