subject selection

hi, im a year 10 currently doing subject selection and i am planning on choosing lit, apps, chem, human bio, re gen (catholic school) but i am torn between modern history and psych so i was wondering if anyone could provide some insight into these subjects.

i am wanting to go to med school if that helps

isabellaa Hi there! In your position, I would choose Psych since med school would have some corelation with that subject. I'm not sure how modern history would go into med school but feel free to prove me wrong!

isabellaa hmm looks like you're loading up on the science-y stuff for med school, which, honestly, is probably the only smart move if you're aiming for that anyway. look, neither of those two subjects are gonna get you directly into med, so it just comes down to which one you think you can either bluff your way through better or at least not completely despise for an entire year. modern history means endless essays and sifting through old dead people's thoughts, while psych is basically just trying to figure out why humans are so weird. pick your poison, i guess (￣^￣)?

I wouldn't stress about picking the best subject for med school (besides chem, which you already have). You'll learn everything you need while in med. Everyone catches up even if they did different subjects. I'd recommend doing the one with the content you enjoy most, so you can both a) score highly and b) have a more relaxed atmosphere in VCE.
