ive been at a public school my entire life so i may not be the best person to be giving advice but i think it depends on your current situation. macrob was ranked top 10 in 2023 for vce results so academics shouldn't be a problem, you'll also be surrounded by other like-minded individuals who will continually push you to be better. however i don't know if your current school is ranked even higher or if you have crazy smart kids so i can't judge on that, thats up to u lol. otherwise macrob ive heard has tons of extracurriculars and opportunities for you to try new things but again i have no idea how your current school is like, it may have tons more. next is the fees, where macrob is really affordable (no school fees, payments are voluntary, i think u just have to buy uniform, books, and also some extracurriculars u have to pay for), but AGAIN your current school might be much cheaper!! location is also a big factor, if you live decently close (<1-1.5hr travel time) i would say making the commute is probably worth it. finally, the environment of macrob would be really great, i think @i_need_mental_asylum said most people are very friendly and understanding, so it should be a fun school experience as well. but at the end of the day its up to you, don't go to macrob just because some random public schooler who has no idea of your current situation tells you to, go because you actually like the school.
