Hey, current ebs student here!
At first when I enrolled, I genuinely hated it so much ( not to discourage you or anything ), like from what I remember the first week of school seven people dropped out and went back to their old schools.
In ebs they expect you to do a lot of independent learning, and like they like assume that you are like super smart and can keep up with what they're saying (essentially like uni), but they lecture style learning can be pretty fun. Only annoying thing is that the tables are teeny tiny, so it can be hard to keep like, all your books not on the floor (if that makes sense). Good thing about ebs is that they provide you with a digital copy of the textbook so like you don't have to worry about lugging around a heavy textbook around. And like starting in a new school for vce can be like pretty stressful because like 1. new environment and like 2. you don't know how like the teachers are (like for marking schemes and stuff0
Many times like I've debated to go back to my old school, because like I feel like I can get dux if I stay there (basically what you're saying), but like the only thing that's keeping me from not going back is literally the people here. I don't know what school you're coming from but my old school is just like, overloaded with drama between friendships and like they have a huge bullying problem, and like there's no drama here, which is nice because like then you only focus on your studes and stuff.
Honestly, depending if you got accepted into Yr 11 or 12 entry, I only think it's worth coming here if your school is like ranked 400 in the state (which was the case for me), other than that, depending on what you feel is right of course, you will do good anywhere you are! I can't vouch for Yr 12 entry because like, I got in for Yr 11. Hope that give you more insight to form a decision! Also congrats for getting in!
