SHS001 its really weird as I have a friend who got 5 superiors and only got an offer for SCHS because that was his first preference but i also know some people that got like 2 or 3 superiors and still got offers from like 2 schools. Ive never seen the case where someone get an offer for all the 3 of their preferences

SHS001 You will get an offer from your highest preference school however if you, for some reason, decline it, I believe that you will get an offer from the next school. Don't take my word for it as I did the test a while ago but that should be the case. Nevertheless, you should go to your highest preference school if you get in since, after all, it is the school you chose.

Also, have you all received the first round offers yet? From my understanding, you did the test around July and the offers begins in September?

I was also wondering if u guys could tell me anything abt the material on the quantitative and maths test. I have a ton of pressure and expectations from other ppl to pass this exam but i cant seem to find the topics i should work on. Also if u can share any writing, verbal reasoning or reading comprehension tips and question types that would be great. i hope someone replies soon as im quite stressed and on a tight time frame. Ty

Hi Mina, don’t stress too much, everything will be okay. For maths, I suggest you buy a year 8 textbook and learn the whole book (preferably Cambridge maths year 8). If you do this you will be fine on the test (after all it’s only 35 questions in 30 minutes). The only advice for verbal and reading is that you get familiar with the questions and learn new vocabulary. For writing, keep doing writing pieces for 20 minutes each, one persuasive and another narrative. Numerical reasoning was the tricky one tho. Just practice patterns and get familiar with worded problems and problem solving questions and how to solve them. Make sure to manage your time in these tests and identify which problems are going to take too long and leave them for the end.

Also it’s good to do henderson tests closer to the actual exam. Make sure to learn from your mistakes in the previous tests to improve.

No problem, hope you get your first preference!

Hopefully ☺️ did u end up receiving an offer to a school? (U dont have to reply if u dont want to)

Also please note the competition level in schools vary. I heard Alamanda is VERY competitive despite having a 10% cap.

Ty, which school are you aiming for?

    Macrob is the aim
