Do you listen to music when you're studying, typically? I think it just distracts me - I prefer silence or just background noise, though lofi music with no lyrics can also be fine.
How about you?

I vary quite a bit, I used to listen to music always when studying but now a little less and usually volume more reduced so definitely more in the background than previously
I generally am fine with listening to music I know well as it is easier to concentrate with something familiar but wouldn't really listen to any music that was new to me whilst studying
I always listen to music when studying. I find it difficult to concentrate with background noise (I live in a loud household) so I usually just chuck my noise cancelling headphones on and tune out.
Same thing goes with when I'm studying in the school library, I find that music really helps and is a boost to my productivity.
If I listen to music whilst at home I get distracted very easily however it helps me focus when at school during study periods or class because it means that other people won't distract me as much
I prefer to listen to some sort of music when studying (it helps me get in the zone and focus), but it tends to depend on the subject. When I'm doing further maths, such as my bound reference or practice questions, I can listen to some music with lyrics. However, for english, chem and bio, I tend to just listen to lofi or other background music (movie soundtracks, upbeat music, piano instrumentals, etc.). I also feel like listening to music can be sort of motivating in a way for me, and also helps me not get distracted by those talking around me in the library or in my classes.
I listen to Lo-fi music, and I've found it really helps me concentrate, especially with Physics, Chemistry and Methods
