Questions about Spesh

Is spesh as hard as people say ?
Do you really have to enjoy spesh and be good at maths to do really well in spesh?
Is it a content heavily subject?
Does it contain any physics?
How much of methods goes into spesh ?
If you did spesh, how did you find it ?

It really depends on the person and their level of mathematics knowledge before starting. Some people will find it very manageable and just a normal extension of maths methods.

You probably don't necessarily have to enjoy it to do very well but it would help a lot, being "good at maths" would help too. Usually if someone does a subject that they don't really like they are less likely going to be motivated to put in the time and effort and therefore do worse than if they had done a subject that they were actually interested in.

Yes it contains some physics in the form of vectors, kinematics and mechanics.

There is a bit of overlap between methods and spec, but some of the concepts in spec assume that you understand the corresponding topic in methods.

I did spec in year 12 and found it to be a really good and interesting subject which was quite doable.

Highly dependent on the individual. Personally, I found the content harder than Methods, but still overall very doable. That's about as much as I can say.
You need at least one of those, I'd say. Either will probably do.
Yeah, in comparison to methods at least. You go deeper into the topics at hand, in comparison to methods which tends to just scratch the surface of the topics then move on.
Yes, however I believe this will be reduced (or removed? cant remember) post-butchering of the study design. It's a shame as I think this was the most enjoyable part of the subject. It seems they're adding proof though which is quite nice.
Some of the calculus (the basics) are covered in both subjects, also a bit of the statistics (except, Spec talks about sample means whereas methods focuses on sample proportions).
I found the content interesting, but not particularly hard. The exam was disproportionately hard though in my opinion. However it didn't really matter in the end since the grade distribution accounted for this.

Are there any topics I should be a bit more concerned about?
Also, what is grade distribution? (As you mentioned before)

Hardest topic in my opinion is Vector proofs, mostly because here you actually do proof rather than raw computation; therefore at least initially it may seem a bit harder. Although, this tends to either not show up on the exam, or only has a few marks allocated to it.

Grade distribution is just the distribution of marks on the final exam. Last year the average mark was lower than usual due to the difficulty, but because people tended to find it harder on average (i.e. got a lower mark), and since study score is essentially a comparison to the cohort, this didn't really matter.
