Latin...99.95?

I am wondering if Latin is essential for the dux. I use the honor roll and enter some 99.95's 40+ subjects to atar calc, but get only 99.8 or something. But after entering Latin 39 (which is less than 40), there will be 99.95. Does that mean 99% of dux learn latin?

you don't need latin for a 99.95 but most years the people who get 99.90-99.95 do either specialist maths or a language. There really isn't rule you need to do those subjects but since 99.95 generally needs an aggregate >210 that means you usually need a subject that can scale over 50
