  • Will the English markers actually catch people plagarising essays?

Will English markers actually know if you have memorised an essay that is not yours? I know the conseuqences but how likely is it though since they mark hundreds of papers and its not like the paper goes through palgarism checker such as turnitin.

From the perspective of VCE:

  • For the SACs - it could be very risky.
  • For the exam: Given that you aren't allowed notes, and have no idea what the prompt is - I don't see how it can be too much of a problem (Other than it may not respond to the prompt).

So I think the chances of you actually writing the exact same essay as someone else is pretty minimal.

So in the words of Dr Karl: 'Plagiarise plagiarise plagiarise'!

Just do it discretely. And not in the SAC's.

a month later

most likely no

lol my eng teacher literally told me I could memorise another essay and the marker wouldn't really notice (unless they read it before ig)

One of my sacs I actually took home to work on when it was supposed to be sac conditions, my teacher is blind and deaf though (she’s 76) so nobody noticed
