Hi Jay!

Welcome to the forums. Majority of the journals here do happen to be vce ones. I have to say tho, it does seem quite early to have exams compared to us victorian kids down here. A lot of them start on the 26th oct.

Good luck for your exam tmr!

I hope you find this place as helpful as it is supportive.

BayJay Welcome to the forums/study discussion!
I hope you enjoy reading stuff on here and overall, we're all real chill.

For QCE, exams start on the 24th of October. (aghhhhh), and good luck dude, I agree with beep boop, it does seem kinda early to have exams compared to use queenslanders up here.

Regardless, good luck @BayJay and @beep_boop
    We'll make it, fellow '22'ers!

Thanks, it seems like NSW exams do start pretty early compared to other states. It would be nice to get some extra study time although I'm not sure if I would be able to utilise that time very well at this point

Had English Paper 1 today and if I'm being honest, I think it went decently. The short answers this year had a surprising amount of low mark questions (only 1 largish 6 marker and it was a compare question so basically just 2 3 markers anyway). I do feel a mixed on the essay question, it was slightly out of left field, but I think I was able to work with it. Paper 2 is tomorrow so I'll need to work on that quite a bit today. Anyway, that's probably it for today kind of looking forward to the end of English tomorrow.

English exams are finally over with the completion of paper 2. Pretty good selection of questions this year, nothing really out of left field except the first part of Mod C which was effectively a short answer question which was weird but not hard. It's odd, English was my largest exam and now that it's done it feels like my HSC is almost over even though I still have 5 exams left. I guess English was the only one that I need to write a bunch for. And now that it's finally done, I feel like the rest of the exam block is just kind of a breeze. Next exam I have is Engineering Studies which does have a bit of content, but I have quite a while to prepare (and they tend to just reuse questions with different numbers). After that is Maths Advanced which, I feel is pretty easy to study for (there doesn't seem to be much in the syllabus), Maths Extension 1 would be a bit hard to get through but straight forward. My 2nd last exam, Chemistry, is the one I'm a bit worried since, even though my scores are pretty good, its effectively the only exam where my parents have explicitly stated they want to me to do well in (a bit odd that they only care about 1 subject but its whatever). I don't think I will do much studying today, probably clear out my English stuff and reorganise my other subjects since I kind of made a mess the last couple of days. Well, that's it today, now counting the days before I'm finally free form the HSC (20 days left)

Don't really have much to say about in this post, been revising for the upcoming Engineering and Maths exams. Did 1 paper for Maths, 96/100, a few missed steps in my working out and a really stupid mistake I made in the multiple choice. For Engineering, I've just been sorting through my notes to see if I don't know anything and practicing flashcards. Unlike the endless supply of Maths papers, there is a limited amount of Engineering papers so there isn't much left in terms of questions for me to do. Anyway, gonna end it here only 19 days left - less that 3 weeks left.

Engineering exam tomorrow, did a short practice exam today (91/100 not really ideal and after 2 years I really hate this subject but honestly, I'm just gonna hope maths extension can carry this mark a bit), I feel relatively confident with the exam and I'm just gonna do some flashcards before the exam (it's an afternoon exam, side-note why are there even afternoon exams? Is it because it conflicts with other subjects, are there like 3 dudes in the whole of NSW that has an exam in the morning so they can't schedule and exam then or is NESA just bad?). Anyway, that tangent aside, I'm still counting the days until I can finally go outside again - 16 days and counting. Hope y'all are doing well in your exams, I'll hopefully update tomorrow with some good news.

Oops, I forgot to update after the Engineering exam. That exam went well though, a bit odd considering there weren't any materials questions that were very hard like previous years. Also finished Maths exam today, which was also pretty good. I mean there were a few that kind of came from left field but I think I dealt with them fine. That's all for today, only 3 exams to go (13 days left - less than 2 weeks left to go!!!).

      4 days later

Maths Extension 1 today, and I'm really seeing a trend in how these updates are going. The test was fine, haven't really heard a lot of people complaining at least compared to the Maths Advanced one. Yeah, that's it - a bit over a week (9 days) to go and man, am I excited to finally end these incredibly slow 2 years - it's felt like forever and the end is actually in sight and I'm not just coping this time. This is Jay signing out

      6 days later

Last week of the HSC (ok more like half a week cause there's only 3 days left), the finish line is so close now. Just 2 more exams and I am home free.

Hope everyone who's already done had a nice HSC, Jay out

Had the Chem exam today and I am sure people are sick of me saying that the exam went pretty well, and it was a lot easier than expected but hey - gotta be confident right? And really with only 2 days left (the end is so close now!!!) there is no way I can stressed about my results with the light of finally breaking free from the stale days of doing subjects I only really have a mild interest for (made stale by their poorly designed syllabus) and my parent's obsession with giving it my all since this will be the only inflection point in my life (classic Asian parents). I will say that it is becoming a bit frustrating to stuck in the HSC block until the sour end. Ok, I think I should stop venting - it won't even matter soon. Hope everyone who is done are enjoying their time off - you guys deserved it: This is Jay, hopefully returning free from the HSC
