psychology exam discussion post/ psych help
twinklehello Thank youu!!!
heyy, can anyone explain why MCQ question 10 (of 2021 vcaa exam) is d?
sasushi basically the antecedent doesn't directly produce the response as that is the consequence, the behavior directly produces the response
does anyone get 49 MC for 2021?
twinklehello so technically out of all of the options it is the best-suited one,
A- this one doesn't really make sense bc its both action and contemplation
B- I think this one would be between pre-contemplation and contemplation
c- this one is contemplation and then relapse
d- this one is the most correct, (and my teacher's PowerPoint says that an individual in the preparation stage can make some behavioural changes but doesn't completely change their behaviour. )
I hope this makes sense, and if anyone has anything to add please do!
Hi can anyone explain 1c short answer from vcaa 2021, like since when did they want answers like that

Breaking down the answer what you needed to identify:
- exhaustion stage of GAS
- impact on heart as stated by question
- plausible connection between the two based on your knowledge of stress
I doubt they would expect you to know the whole question on your own but with the question having told you that he developed a heart condition makes the question a lot more reasonable than it otherwise could have been.
Edit: you should know it's exhaustion stage because that where major illness is more likely to occur, minor colds can however occur towards the end of resistance.

hmm yeah it is a a lot more than what is usually required, i think it was one of those really hard questons that VCAA uses to find the 50ss students, but basically the constant stress experienced by stress not only weakens the immune system but so many other parts of the body as well.
e.g)
- bob is in the exhaustion stage
- constant strain on the heart due to constantly having to pump blood around at a high rate (due to continual sympathetic NS dominance ) thus causing bob to result in a heartcondition, because his heard wasnt able to keep up with the demands needed by the FFF response.
Theres this really good picture that i saw on the jacaranda textbook which basically outlines all of the ways that constant stress can affect the body...

hope this helps!
does anyone have the solutions to the 2022 psyched trial exam?
As much as I understand wanting these resources (and others wanting to provide them) ATAR Notes can't be used to share copyrighted material :/
All good! Your reply adds useful info as well.
Usually for images on ATAR Notes I've uploaded it to somewhere like imgur and then grabbed the bbcode link. Generally for grabbing a link if you want the picture to display you need the link to go to the picture only & the link to go in the square brackets. That's my experience anyway.
BriMT Thank youuu makes so much sense
sasushi Frr the sample response was so good i thought it was some bio exam
sasushi omg that helps thank u so much i was like so confused- i will note that !!!

Hey guys on the 2021 vcaa MCQ question 14, im confused on why its C. Usually the duration of STM is 15-20 seconds and then 30 seconds if maintenance rehearsal is used.
