Billzene Hi Bill, I have underloaded in the majority of my semesters just to avoid intermission, but my mental health probably needed a break away from all the studies related stuff. So I have done badly regardless and eventually had to take intermission anyway. I'm at the peak of all times since my diagnoses, but still a bit nervous and don't know how long this is going to last. Right now I wish uni start sooner so that it will not gone 'wasted'. At the very least, I am hoping that I will not start uni at one of the lowest points. I think now I started to accept that I will be mediocre and that's fine with me.

ZAZ Hey, I'm not actually a uni student so I probably don't have the best advice, but have you considered taking a gap year? It will probably prolong your studies, but it might be a good idea if you need a break to focus on recovery and to then start your tertiary studies with an optimal start

An update

I got a notice from University that I am at unsatisfactory academic progress risk level three, which I could be excluded from University.

This will keep me busy before uni starts, otherwise it might never.

ZAZ if it's your first level 3 risk notification you almost have 0% chance of being kicked out. I think they only exclude people who have been on level 3 notice on quite a while

Billzene Yeah, I have stayed on level three for a while, but the process never gets better any time I had to face it.

I have been offered a place for on campus accommodation. Hopefully I can pass the APC hearing.

I'm seeing my psychologist every week now, didn't see any improvement yet.

It's now 8 years after the new year, having to live with depression, I can't even remember how things used to be, maybe I was depressed without diagnosis. I just remember that I wasn't happy like other kids when I first had memory.

I have changed my units a bit, they are the followings for semester 1.

I will have my hearing tomorrow, but I have been preparing for the move to on campus accommodation on this coming Saturday, so if the hearing fails I will have to think about something else, failing to meet the purpose 312 dollars a week is way too expensive.

I have spent a day trying to process the fact that I am excluded from Monash.

I thought a lot about not being good enough when answering their questions.

The original plan of moving in turned out to be having to stay at my dad's house.

For whom I escaped from as soon as I turned 22 and getting Youth Allowance.

I have also been discussing with MRS about getting my deposit back but was unsuccessful.

Everything around me for the past 23 years seemed awful and will continue to be.

My only hope? Less Bad.

ZAZ Sorry to hear about the outcome, I’d highly recommend working when you don’t know where you’re headed to academically since in the mean time you could stumble on something you really like and discover what you really want to do as a job. Can you arrange to share a room with a friend or a partner if you have a problematic relationship with your dad?
