Hello fellow VCErs I am a current year 12 student taking VCE Creative Practice (the old art subject) and had a question about the potential formats for our visual diaries....
Im going to provide a bit of context but if that doesnt interest you I'll put the question at the bottom in bold if you just want to scroll to the end
I am a verbal person its just how I think, i struggle to annotate books for other classes, take notes etc. my brain prefers to just talk whether that is to a camera or as a voice over, audio recording, I dont care. Last year I really struggled to stay up to date with my visual diary and I think the main reason was because it required me to write all my thought processes down. So I was thinking
what is to stop me from just sticking a QR code or link of some kind on my page(so I have something physical to submit) and just talking to a camera about how I went about developing my creative practice.
I would still have pictures, trials, sketches etc but the main chunk of text would be verbal. I couldnt see anything in the study design specifing what format our book had to be but I know my teacher is old school and probably wont like it. However, if it means I submit my work on time (which it currently isnt) and to a higher standard (cause my brain is so much better verbally) I feel like she will learn to accept/understand it
Any advicer or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂
