Heyo! I did QCE Ancient history so I hope I can help ๐
Have you tried something along the lines of "What motivated the Pope to focus the reunification of Christendom, and what were the benefits that stemmed out of this focus?"
"How would reclaiming the Holy land during the first crusade benefit the middle class people versus how they would benefit the politicians/leaders during the first crusade?"
"How did the relationships between crusaders and the Byzantine Empire ultimately impact the the Pope's focus?"
OR
"How do the modern sources portray the reunification of Christendom in comparison to ancient sources?"
With your Key Inquiry Question, make sure to add a year and i've lowkey fixed this up to make it a bit more specific: e.g. "To what extent was Pope Urban II's focus on the reunification of Christendom, rather than the reclamation of the Holy Land during the First Crusade, in 1096?"
I've also chucked below my IA2 questions from last year, and I hope this helps you get a better understanding of what's expected (I got 24/25 btw)
KIQ: To what extent did Miltiades have the most significant role in achieving Athenian victory over the Persians at the battle of Marathon in 490BCE; or were there other individuals such as Callimachus whose role was just as important?
- How is Callimachus remembered in relation to the Battle of Marathon?
- What was Miltiadesโ role at Marathon?
- How do the ancient sources portray Miltiades and Callimachus in comparison to the modern sources?
Hope this helps,
