like you can group -5 and -5x², 9x and x³.

no you couldnt bc the first two terms don't have the same ratio, for example if we were factorsiing x²+3x²+4x-12, we can see that the ratio of the first two terms is 1:3, and the same with the second two (4:12 = 1:3), otherwise you could use synthetic division or some other method but honestly I wouldn't stress about cubic expressions

I think u got it wrong, I just did it using the factors of the last and leading coefficients, found one that worked which was of course just 1,then I just used synthetic division which is a breeze, then i transferred it back into the brackets and of course, due to the NFL, it becomes (x-1)(x²-4x+5), i hope i didn't stuff it up but yea

MMHS damn bro I was close but I thought that in the part in a method I did u do ?x²-x²=5x² so the question mark would be 6x due to subtracting five from six getting five and then u substitute six x into the equation and then I got that
