YR10SEHSASPIRANT that is partially correct as this is kind of old and i know people who attended the exam last year and got in and they said that parabolas, circle theorem weren't in the exam and trig wasn't excessive as it was only partially included

(like school uniform or casual??) i live far away so i think im the only one from my school trying out and i dont really know what to expect. anyways good luck to everyone <3 (i'm trying out for jmss so im no too sure if it's different but anything would help i am so lost )

What kind of prompt will they give us for writing? Visual, starting phrase, include these words, direct description, etc? Or could it be any of the above/not listed

Melona Don’t mean to freak you out, but it could be ANYTHING. Words, phrases, diary entries, images, ANYTHING.

Random_Person_You_Happen_To_Be_Encountering_Now ye we are cooked
What is the best way to start a persuasive essay for example the recent controversy of this event is being discussed
Danny “With the (recent) issue of [insert thing], debates have been sparked on whether [insert thing]. Much of the population would argue that [something]. However, it would be more pragmatic to [your stance].” (Me)
“Recent developments regarding [insert thing] have ignited debates about whether [insert thing]. While many people contend that [something], a more pragmatic approach would be to [your stance].” (ChatGPT)
Danny I would suggest starting with stating some background info on the topic (1 sentence is good) then stating ur contention and your arguments, but if u can't think of anything at that moment, starting with template sentences such as Recently, the issue of _________ has again sparked debate, or The controversial topic of _________ is again being discussed, like u mentioned is a good idea.
