Hey guys,
Has anyone done a SAC yet for "analysis & evaluation of a contemporary bioethical issue" yet? If so, how it it formated? What kind of case study will there be? and how should we answer questions to get full marks & best show our understanding? This is for AOS 1 U3 DNA manipulation. Anyone have any practice SACs btw?
BIO 3/4 bioethical issue SAC AOS1
me123 Hey, I just completed our bioethical SAC last week. Majority of the questions were about the ethical considerations of our specific case study (GMO Bananas in Uganda battling Vitamin A deficiency), so covering the ethical arguments (for and against) of justice, integrity, non-maleficence, beneficence, and respect. We were also questioned about the frequency based approach, Duty/Rules based approach and virtues based approach. There wasn't too much about the actually theory behind it, besides PCR testing and the gel electrophoresis. There was also a bit on Plasmids, denaturation etc., taq polymerase, ligase and the rest, mainly about there importance or roles. But majority of the marks for our SAC were on ethics.
I hope this helped and good luck

With the exception of the PCR testing and the gel electrophoresis, there was not a lot of information regarding the underlying idea geometry dash breeze that was behind it.
