I'm just wondering if anyone has ever faced a ten mark evaluate question, I'm trying to plan out a response but I'm unsure where the marks are going.
10 mark evaluate question
vintage_fox Yea I have, we were told it was 1 sentence 1 mark. So you should have around 12/13 sentences I'd say. However, there are exceptions, my friend got 10/10 with only 7 sentences. It's rather ambiguous, but the main idea is to have 10 key ideas or 10 explanations. I undertook R&S and that was the situation for us, what subject is this for?
Revan Its for legal studies, I'm not sure what its like at your school but we look at a mark breakdown in a sense of what type of content do we need, for example a 4 mark discuss question would be two positives and two negatives to achieve full marks, I'm just wondering how much of that I would need for a evaluate question.
vintage_fox Yea that makes sense, 4 marks - 4 key ideas. 2 positives and 2 negatives give both sides of the argument. I didn't do legal so I cannot hep further. Normally for evaluate you highlight the key parts of the question, there may be 4-5, and then you write 2 sentences on each idea, in your case, perhaps 1 positive and 1 negative.
thanks that helps a lot.
