Hi, I'm doing year 10 subject selection and currently choosing chemistry, English, bio, human bio and methods as my ATARS. I just want to know how much human bio gets scaled down by because I heard the scaling is a bit rough on it, thanks

hey, i'm still in y12 so idk completely but from what i've heard it totally depends on your school. you should ask your teachers/head of learning about last years students scores; sometimes it's a big decrease because that specific school has had easier human bio tests than WACE, but sometimes it's only a 1-2 percent difference if your school stays within the human bio year 12 syllabus. hope this helps

3 science subjects???

🤯🤯🤯🤯 absolute beast

I could only endure one semester of human bio + chem + physics when I did 3 science in yr 11 then dropped human bio.

From memory I think human bio scaled down by 7 points for me in year 11.

Keep in mind though I did pretty badly my mark was around 68

So if you manage to do really well, the scaling will affect you less and you may even be scaled up if you’re on the right side of the curve.

It was a content heavy subject but it wasn’t too bad and since your taking 5 ATAR your experience should be a lot better than mine

14 days later

if I'm doing medicine should i do specialist or not?
