  • End Of Year Exam and ATAR

I'm part-way through my Unit 4 and I'm still struggling with catching up on the content from my classes that I have missed.
I did very badly unit 3, averaging around 50% for every SAC for every subject and I'm concerned that I won't do very well for this Unit either.

So my question is, if I am to do badly for this Unit as well, if I do very well for my end of year exams, getting in hopefully 80's-90's, can I still get a high ATAR? of hopefully in the bracket of 70.00 - 80.00, or has my performance in Unit 3 and possibly unit 4 hindered that possibility?

    Belle22 Realistically, if you did bad on your sacs you, you can't expect to do very well on your exams. Your exam grind should start now especially since you need to catchup on unit 3 content. If you start grinding now, you can achieve high on unit 4 and the exam. Don't say any of the "if i am to do badly" stuff, you must ensure you don't do badly and thus need to work hard. 70-80 atar is possible, higher too maybe.

        Revan Thanks for replying back.
        Yeah that's true, but I think I do know a lot of the content from Unit 3, but because of circumstances (medical issues, family issues, etc) I wasn't able to focus nearly at all on my schooling, but I've started revision for exams and I'm working a lot harder for Unit 3.
        I've always been someone that focuses on the 'what if's', so to actually be reminded that I shouldn't focus on that and should put all my focus on achieving my goal is really helpful, so thank you (:
