  • how does equality even work with sacs

So my vce coordinator keeps telling me that I can't move my SAC back because it gives me extra time to study and it wouldn't be equal....yet i missed an entire week of school and classes because I was sick (and I have the certificate)?? so how is it equal then if my whole class got 5 lessons I didn't?

but shes still telling me that im being unfair to my peers etc so idk man

karl Unfortunately the VCAA don't take anyone's word except the Shrink's.

If you have a doctors certificate it might help, but even then they have to take into account that your peers could advise you of some of the questions on the SAC therefore creating an inequal examination.

Oh, the delightful world of education, where fairness reigns supreme, and equality is the golden rule. How could we ever dare to suggest that granting an extension on a School-Assessed Coursework (SAC) might be a matter of fairness? After all, isn't it simply marvellous that every student must march to the same relentless drumbeat, regardless of their individual circumstances?

Yes, dear student, you're absolutely right. It would be utterly unjust to extend a deadline for a student who's had the misfortune of being struck down by an ailment. Because, as we all know, a virus respects the SAC schedule with impeccable punctuality. Who cares if you missed a week of classes and had to grapple with a stubborn fever, cough, and exhaustion? The SAC waits for no one!

May your resolve be as unshakeable as a squirrel's determination to hide acorns in an overflowing pantry.
