How do i memorise all the metalanguage, analytical tone words, analytical verbs etc, and how do I apply it when im analysing something ? im just really bad at English so I have no clue about how to prepare for English

i know wace is different to vce, but personally i just found that the more practice i did, the more my vocab expanded. my mind mentally formed an automatic structure to answering questions and the more i got feedback/read good answers, i knew how to incorporate transition words, analytical verbs, etc. so i would suggest just practicing writing responses, or even just planning responses, and then getting feedback on them. this way you would memorise them subconsciously because you're using them more and more
    hope that helps 🙂

Ash444 i ask my teacher for some, use the questions from past wace exams (and then compare with the marking key), or use the practice books from my y12 booklist - insight exam practice, rachel sarahs, etc

heyy basically for me, I just analyse full texts on my own and sometimes don't even write paragraphs on them. I have analysed my teachers emails that he has sent out, or even random stuff I find like the articles for my contemporary examples. I use acronyms that we have been taught in class to help memorise what each one means but apart from practising I see no way else to do any better. Maybe take what I have just written and try and analyse this to the best of your ability (of course you won't get a whole AC out of it) but maybe even try and plan out a paragraph. On a different text, perhaps past exams, time yourself and write an AC and an essay as this time pressure will also help you.
I hope this helps and good luck !!!
