For instance, on a question, if you use an alternative method which integrates steps together or simply solves the question in an entirely different way, how do markers interpret this? Will you lose marks if you integrate steps together or use a different approach, even if it's clear from your working what you are doing?
How are Methods external exams marked?
From what i've heard even if u use specialist concepts to solve questions, unless explicitly stated you get the marks. One of my teachers is a external marker and said for example you've got a methods question and u use like substitution to integrate and the question doesnt say u have to use a specific method u still get the marks
