hi there! I did 3/4 this year and I just completed your survey (hopefully you got it)
Oooh advice. Well there's no one answer; personally, I found it good to get a head start on the content in the summer break before term started, but I looked at everything as an overview and did the first 1-2 topics that I knew we were going to do at school in term 1 in more detail (practiced with textbook qs to check my understanding, did a few practice test qs my teachers provided, etc).
I think psych (especially the new study design) is a content heavy subject; it's pretty easy to fall behind and then hard to catch up! Make sure you're always up to date with where your class is at, even being slightly ahead by one or two little topics can go a long way!
Other than that, I'd say practice practice practice; especially with the new study design I found that there were some qs this year (like the new stuff around Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's ways of knowing and memory) where I felt I didn't understand what the question's mark allocation meant for what I should include in my response; this led to me missing out on marks simply because I wasn't sure what I lacked. so I guess in short, do qs, and make sure to ask your teachers (and tutors if you have tutors) for feedback; this is going to sound cliche but no such thing as silly questions, only silly mistakes that are usually avoidable
Anyways, sorry for the long-winded response, but all the best! enjoy the subject; it really helps!
Good luck!
π
