g4rl1cg1rl IT IS EXACTLY THIS. i never knew about ches until i read about you doing it, and I WAS DEVASTATED. i feel as if i donā€™t reach my full potential because it requires so much more than what is being offered. a lot of the weekly tasks, if done properly, do help with the overall product, but most of the time it is just the bare minimum and thatā€™s what iā€™ve come to doing.

i just do what is urgent. like this week we got our SAC2 to work on for the weeks duration and iā€™m just researching when we need to. i feel like they expect us to KNOW what we have to do but half of the time there is no clear sense of direction.

and even with data collection, iā€™ve looked ahead on their ā€œtimelineā€ and they want us to have it done by the end of term. THAT IS CRAZY. i want to finish data collection, data analysis and begin writing some stuff up for the final report. it feels really restrictive and i hate that as a learner, especially when i want to do so well in EI because i fought so hard with my school to do it.

like please, the whole ā€œthemeā€ on the page where all our work is is literally lego themed. itā€™s a motif, i understand, but it feels so insulting because the subject is full of intelligent people and youā€™re undermining that with lego.

im just curious though, where are you at with your research? like methodology/writing wise because thereā€™s really no timeline i have and want to have something to compare with.

    g4rl1cg1rl YEAH HAHAHA im using my own timeline because that ensures im working to myself, but that dude who got a 50 must be extremely smart and didnā€™t rely on vsv themselves.

    and yeah, i do use state library but i also use scholar and sci-hub in case i need to download anything behind a paywall.

    when were you thinking about starting to write your report? i was hoping to start mine mid-june right after i collate everything T-T

          g4rl1cg1rl i would assume your school allows for sac rescheduling. just get a medical certificate and get the sacā€™s postponed you shouldnā€™t have to go to school if youā€™re not well.

                g4rl1cg1rl OHH i was gonna say, itā€™s still bad but wouldā€™ve been sm worse if it was the EI oral presentation. when are yā€™all doing the EI one anyway??

                  g4rl1cg1rl i was going to go in but the day falls the same time i have my english exam, and it will take me 2 hours to train it up to thornbury so i canā€™t go šŸ™. im doing mine at 5-6pm next wednesday because thats literally the only time they had that worked with me.
                  that reminds me i should maybe work on the presentationā€¦.

                    g4rl1cg1rl omg i hope my school isnt like that bc mines literally gonna be about how the school wifi is racist, impacts education and will cause us to repeat civilisation's past mistakes lmao so it'd be impossible to find evidence without work outside of class šŸ˜­šŸ˜­
