Rey's VCE journey into year 12

Rey_of_sunshine agreed. our school did a formal in year 10 but i didnt go, because i didnt see a point. my friends got a limousine and everything it wouldn’t even tempt me. best choice of my life.

but i want to go this year, soak everything in one last time before im illegally thrown into the adult world for 11 days until im technically emancipated T-T. (i say illegally but let’s be honest im not moving out anytime soon i have horrible spending habits HAHAHA)

FH ⭐️ I did year 10 and 11 formals (didn't enjoy year 11 that much but went cause my boyfriend at the time wanted to), but looking forward to this years a lot! I've even organised to go dress shopping in Melbourne with one of my good friends (DFO because we're not rich lol).
Can definitiely relate to some poor spending habits (tend to save for ages and then spend a tonne at once) and am not looking forward to being thrown into adulthood.

Rey_of_sunshine ew boyfriends (i hate people LMAO). i wish i had that whole formal shopping experience but being a guy and breaking the dress code is just super hard at school. LIKE HOW DO I MAKE A BORING SUIT NOT SO BORING!?

like there are so many nice dresses with pretty patterns and whatnot, but suits are literally all black it is so sad (says in owning a black wardrobe) BUT LIKE YK WHAT I MEAN. i don’t wanna look like a copy and paste of every skanky dude at my school because trust me, the guys here are horrible T-T.

AND I SO AGREE. i’m in my saving era but in two months i just know all that money is gone LMAO. it’s ok because i’m living and i’m seventeen so it’s acceptable HAHAHAH

FH ⭐️ yeah I'm not a huge people person either lol (only had the 1 and not planning on having another, he was nice I'm just not a relationship person). Yeah, I love being a girl cause pretty dresses and heels are awesome, there are probably ways to make a suit less boring but I wouldn't know them sorry.
No offence meant but I think majority of the guys at most schools are horrible (you are obviously one of the non-horrible ones though).
Yeah, 17 is the time for unresponsible spending before we have to start spending money on adult things like rent and groceries

Honestly, I'm clumsy as hell but somehow more co-ordinated in heels? They make me feel frigging powerful lol, though I would never touch stilettos.

g4rl1cg1rl Like it sucks but I also kinda get it because it is a subject with like 2,000 students and only a handful of which are VCE students so scheduling would be made around uni student timetables not VCE student ones.
I just have to reschedule which is a pain

Have had double business and double hospitality and I've finally actually started my notes for this area of study (turns out my pen ink getting low had me convinced just not writing was the solution...), and I made 6 drinks! (I normally suck at getting myself to do any so this was a big accomplishment).
In non-directly school related news I have my study club tonight and we're going out to Indian for dinner (study group is legit just the 2 of us but like 2 is a group surely...) which'll be fun.
Plus I didn't have to drive this morning due to a very minor incident when i was driving yesterday (no-one was hurt, cars got bumped (so my car has a little dint and scratched slightly) and it apparently wasn't my fault according to my dad but it has just reinforced my hatred for driving).
Oh and one of the hot chocolates i made today had such an aesthetically pleasing gradient to it, and when i was delivering it another teacher said it looked really good!

Psych results got released and I got 91%, like not bad but not great either. Kinda dissapointed, was hoping to bring my average to back above 90% but now it's sitting at 88.5 which isnt horrendous but lower than i hoped yaknow

I got to see my psych sac and I ended up getting one mark given back to me (yay) but I'm so mad at one of the mistakes because it's really dumb. I put the capacity of STM as 5 +/- 2 when it should be 7 +/- 2 which was mentioned in 2 seperate questions and lost me 1.5 marks... I had it wrong on my stupid cheat sheet.. I may be a bit of an idiot.
In other knews I got 90% on my creative prac sac for english which is nice. Just apparently need to have a more controlled structure and more imagery (as someone who doesn't visualise I hate this but eh).
Oh and I worked at the cafe today and it was pretty chill, no longer have 2 shifts in the roster due to some rostering issues at the school cafe but it's going pretty well.
Oh and I've finally started actually doing like a little bit of work again (the issue ended up being I knew my pen was running out of ink so subconsciously I was like: well it won't run out if I don't use it. Like I was correct but stupid).

My throat has died on me but I have no other sickness symptoms (no covid, i did test) so I'm masking at school right now and I feel so meh but like I don't feel sick. I hate when I'm like slightly sick, I would rather actually be sick or not at all, not this annoying in between.
I also did no homework/study this weekend but I cannot bring myself to care that much.
I hate Winter.

FH ⭐️ I'm not sick enough to be worth it, I'ts just an annoying throat and generally if I stay home I start just having my anxiety spiral about missing school (shows what a healthy relationship it is lol).
Plus I have 2 free's today so I can kinda slump if I really need to.
I'm probably just whinging lol
