Hello, I am going into year 12 next year. I am an EAL student in a mainstream English class (not enough EAL students for our own class). I don’t really know how to study for English, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. I would also want to know how you guys prepared for SACs and exams, improved on your specific weaknesses and things to look out for. Any resources would be greatly appreciated too. I am aiming to scrape the 40s in EAL so I would also like to know what it takes.
How should I study for EAL or English in general?

Taaaa76 I made a Reddit post ages ago on English tips, I'll link it as a screenshot. Note that this is for the old study design, so the comparative advice is no longer consistent with the current one. Additionally, I don't know how EAL works because I did mainstream English myself

Thanks!! I read through it and you mentioned that I should do 3 practice SACs before the actual SAC.
Given my teacher, I don’t think I would benefit much from them so I plan to do more self study.
Outside of those three practice SACs, what else can I do during that self study?.
Taaaa76 Quick 5 minute plans that adapt to a random unseen stimulus or 10 minute body paragraphs would be most effective.
Unfortunately English is one of those subjects that you can't self study in my opinion, since you never know what your teacher wants on SACs. Without effective input from them, you'd be going in blind (even with a tutor since it won't be what your teacher wants)
Okay thanks for helping me out!
