  • Year 12 Subjects

Hi, I am going into year 12 next year and my subjects that I've chosen are
-3/4 English
-3/4 Business management
-3/4 Health and Human development
-3/4 Ancient History
-3/4 Psychology
the issue that I have is i'm taking on content-heavy subjects and its making me a bit anxious so a possible solution Is that I can drop 1 subject and only have 4 or keep my subjects that i've already chosen for next year because i've heard having 4 subjects can be risky. Im still not sure so I need some advice on this if thats possible.

P.S I am not thinking of taking on any maths subjects or picking up a second science. 🤣

I am going into year 12 next year too so i am probs not very reliable but i would say keep all 5 and even if you have to push one to the side and focus on your others it can still contribute to your atar in the 10%. Even though all your subjects are content heavy I srtill think you are capable of doing well in all as health for example is very content heavy but with a good teacher, listening in class, and answering questions often you can do well. I am assuming this will be similar for your other subjects as wellas I think they are all around similar difficulty. Good Luck!!!!

Yeah it is pretty normal to do 5 3/4s in Year 12. As the above post has stated having that extra 5th subject can just be an additional couple of points if you just do ok on it.
