shen Hey there, idk if I'll be much helpful cuz I'm sitting the test this year as well, but according to some ATARNotes discussions, you can try to learn about some current scientific issues and news , incase you require prior knowledge for the Science Interest and Communication test. As for the Report writing, just know the scientific method, like the structure of a report and the variables (independant, dependant, extraneous?)

can someone explain what science interest and communication and science report. What does these 2 mean and whats the difference between them?
    Thanks in advance

      Hi everyone,
I'm currently going to complete some edutest practise tests so I'm wondering, if anyone has experience should I do the year 9 ones or year 10 (As a year 9 sitting the exam to get into year 10 at JMSS)

Thanks (or I can do one of each idk)

eee if ur buying from the actual EDUTEST website where they give u like those point things that let u choose definitely get yr 10 because yr9 is way too easy

SO is there no limit for how may people can get selected per school

because I don't see it in the information night video

The 3% cap is no longer applicable. Instead, we are given a cap that is set by the Department of Education a cap for each school as it varies each year, depending on cohort levels and those already selected to attend other select entry schools.

The maximum number of students admitted into John Monash Science School in Year 10 will be an appropriate quota as set by the Department of Education, based on the applicant’s current school’s Year 9 enrolment. There is no cap on enrolments from any one school to JMSS at any other year level
            .
            Hope this helps!
Btw- this is from a JMSS staff member

Does half the applicants that try the test get an interview?

Is the test similar to the edutest practice papers?.

you said, we are given a cap that is set by the Department of Education a cap for each school as it varies each year. So there is a cap right

You said: Instead, we are given a cap that is set by the Department of Education a cap for each school as it varies each year, depending on cohort levels and those already selected to attend other select entry schools.
This means there is a cap set to each school by the department of education but its different to each school.
