cshar THE ACTUAL ONE WAS WAY MORE DETAILED AND HAD RESULTS ETC…
Students at a school we’re doing an experiment and set up 4 pots, A,B,C,D. Pot A had 1 seedling, Pot B had 2 seedlings, Pot C had 3, and Pot D had 4. Each pot had a circumference of 20cm. Pot A had the highest germination rate followed by the rest. All these pots were kept in a row next to a window sill. Each pot was given equal amount of sunlight, water. You were to write an experiment with including the Aim, Hypothesis, IV,DV, the results, discussion, conclusion, what you could improve on the experiment, errors and a practical application.
Aim: To determine the growth of the plants in each pot,( i wrote something else but I forgot )
Hypothesis: If the Independent variable is the amount of seedlings in each pot, and the dependent variable is the growth rate comparing each pot, then scientists can infer that Pot A will have highest growth rate of germination due to the less competition and more space provided.( i wrote something else but I forgot )
IV: The amount of seedlings in each pot
DV: the growth rate of the germination process measured among the 4 pots.
Discussion: I can’t exactly remember what I wrote, however I remember that I wrote about the process of the students setting up the experiment, and 4 pots were given equal amounts of light and water…. I definitely wrote like 3 more sentences, that I cannot remember.
For the results: I wrote that Pot A had the highest germination rate and growth compared to the other pots due to there being no competition, and more space for the seedling to grow. Pot B, due to it having 1 more seedling added to it, had less space for the germination rate to grow, and slightly more competition was in place, I explained pot 3 and 4 like that after. I also wrote something else that I cannot remember, it was around 1-2 sentences long.
Then I wrote something you could improve: I said that the pots should’ve been placed outside in the wilderness where they belong, so that scientists could also take more detail what was going to occur during the process. And I wrote something else that I cannot remember.
Errors: Pots should’ve been kept out In the wilderness.
Practical application: I said that if scientists ever wanted to infer from the practical investigation, then scientists would keep trees from a certain distance away, (preferably wider that usual), so that the rate of germination of trees would be more efficient and fast, so that it releases oxygen. I write something else that I forgot, however I wrote like 1-2 more sentences
Conclusion: I wrote that the students were able to easily conduct the experiment and efficiently. There I Wrote each description of each pot, and then used the circumference formula to measure the distance between each seedling from the first seedling to the next expected seedling to be able to grow efficiently. I said that seedlings should be placed around 6cm apart from each other, as the radius of one pot of 3, and if the pot 2 were to grow efficiently, then they should be kept at least 6cm apart. Scientists could use this information to determine how far apart trees should be kept in forests
