Hi fellas! 🐸
I’m May and I graduated with ⭐️99.90 ATAR as Dux of School⭐️ in a private girls school in 2023, achieving raw 50 in English, raw 49 in Literature and raw 47 in Chinese SL and was the Cohort Dux in all these subjects. I also received a VCE Premier's Award for English! I’m currently pursuing an English and Theatre Studies/Economics Double Major + Diploma of Music with my Chancellor’s Scholarship at Unimelb (^ ^)
I’ve compiled comprehensive text analysis and essay banks for English, Lit and Chinese SL and they are available for you guys! These resources are a culmination of a year's work of hard work, covering hundreds of hours outside of class. They seriously pulled through and gave me the foundation, boost, AND extension to achieve the high scores that I did.
All documents have been restructured in a clear format, and contain a clickable sidebar table of contents for easy navigation 👍

⭐️TIPS FOR ENGLISHES!⭐️
My Englishes were simultaneously the bane of my existence and the love of my life 😔 so here are some general pointers:
- Make sure your interpretations are flexible and malleable depending on what prompts you receive - remember that texts are ultimately subjective and the same evidence may harbour different connotations in different contexts
- Have a group of friends/classmates you can regularly discuss with outside of class and hold lots of study groups! English is very collaborative and there’s no use in gatekeeping ideas.
- Write, get feedback, and then write more. Focus on improving one thing at a time until you gradually get to where you want. Don’t overwhelm yourself with trying to fix everything at once.
- Comprehensive and clear ideas are more beneficial than complex writing. Creating well-fleshed-out, clear and structurally sound plans are often more useful than writing a full essay.
- Have fun!! Make spotify playlists for your texts, make memes, come up with stupid theories. Don’t let VCAA suck all the life out of you and remember to take breaks and listen to your body (^ ^)
That is all from me, manifesting everyone slays whatever VCE journey you are on ✌️
