.. What kind of test papers did u practice with? Hendersons? Also did VR had more vocab questions or logic based ones. Because I suck at vocab and those logic ones r the only ones i rely on in VR.
umm, if possible can u or anyone just tell how u studied and practiced overall for the english part of the exam and can u roughly estimate what scores we should aim for in henderson tests (RC and VR) to get a good score in the actual exam.

:): Anyway to answer your question I believe VR had more logic based questions, cus the vocab on the test was hard. Btw I can't really help u with writing cus I didn't do a single practice essay(bad idea, writing was my lowest score) 💀 For Rc I just read more complex literature, did tests, reflected on why I got a question wrong and how to improve, and did some speed reading practice time to time. For VR I jus did tests and memorized vocabulary from different vocab books cus I was good at them already. For henderson tests I don't know if they are harder or easier now, but try to get 50+/60 in VR and 40+/50 in RC to ensure sup. When I did some James an tests my friend gave me last year I averaged 50/60 on VR and 35/50 on RC 💀 only got into the 40s/50 for RC one week before the test.

:): mb if this isnt relevant but ive done hendersons for sehs and ngl it wasnt too helpful ( most of the rescources in the workshops were from free websites online or the material were better for the edutest format)., Tbh I would rather go to Jac as the rescources they give you are hard, so it prepares you for the exam better. Hendersons was lwk easy for some workshops like maths and RC. But if you really want to go I would reccomend going to The writing, VR and NR workshops. Hopefully this helps n feel free to ask any questsions if u hv any.

𝖉𝖍𝖗𝖚𝖛𝖎❦ wait u just said that henderson was better for the edutest format and the year 10 entry to SCHS is also edutest, so isn't that a good thing? also, i am not going to any workshops, i am just doing papers that someone sent here on the page last year... But thanks, this helped me a lot, also is there any specific way that u study for VR and memorise vocab? The thing which is happening now is the same thing which happened to me last year and i am stuck on cramming words but i keep on forgetting them...

:): I did hendersons for year 9 entry and didnt get in so thats y i said it wasnt too useful, and I think its better for edutest then acer js cs all the stuff they provided was way too easy for acer format tests. So yea potentially the material they gave me for year 9 entry I could use it for yr 10 but, then again I found it not too useful. For VR I would recommend practicing the "1100 words everyone needs to know" book, cs it gives you 5 new words everyday to memorise and it gives you a few exercises to memorise those words. Since your doing practice tests, if you find any words in the VR tests js practice those n read alot of books or js search up "hard reading comprehension worksheets/ articles" and js read those and memorise meanings of the words u don't know. I used a website last year it was https://www.indiabix.com/verbal-ability/questions-and-answers/ But it has alot of aptitude resources so rlly good for NR and VR. Hendersons also gave us huge lists prefixes and suffixes so if we come across a word we dont know in the exam we can use the prefixes and suffixes to help us so def do that. Lastly theres this book I think i got it from amazon but its the R.S. AGGARWAL books for Verbal & Non-verbal reasoning, I would def recommend these books they r rlly good (kinda hard but worth it) they have tons of prac questions ( I think its like 5000+) Its so so good for NR and also VR. He also has some for quantative and english i think. They have great explanations and theres this guy on youtube who goes through all the chapters (it feels like an online class) These books are def worth the hype, you could prolly find an online pdf but I personally love these. Sorry this is so long omg but hopefully this helps!

chxin I have like 3 of his books but for VR I use " A Modern approach to Verbal & Non-Verbal reasoning " this is good for verbal and NR. For Maths I use " Quantative aptitude" this is amazing for maths, problem solving and NR. And for reading comprehension I use "Objective General english".

MMHS I heard the reason Yall don't have food studies is cuz the buildings are too old to build a kitchen to do food studies in. But I heard it a long time ago so it may be wrong.

.. mhs has newer buildings such as the ches building which they can build it in or also the renovated classrooms , however they chose not to, and what does a schools age got to do with it having a kitchen or not?? Like theres a school that was established in like the 1800s and they have food tech with creaky old buildings
