I’m really late to this but I still want to post because I’m freaking out.

Current school: SOSC
Amount of competitors: 20-25 (if I recall correctly, or less) and 6-7 spots.
My preferences: Mhs, Nossal then Suzanne.
Predictions: Math-a/ha/aa, English-aa/s, Vr-a/ha(I guessed ten while everyone guessed 5 or less💀), Numercal-aa/s, Writing-a/ha/aa.

I want you guys opinions on my creative writing. This is the plot: a woman uses the cinema for her own only self( even idk how she got into that state💀) and feels pleased by the silence and peace, but then realizes that there are peopl outside the cinema trying to get in to watch their movie, so this woman realizes that “you shouldn’t obstruct others happiness or entertainment for you own personal self”, and lets these people into the cinema.

(I know you guys have no idea what my creative plot is.)

But anyways, I want to hear your opinions and tell me with your honest heart(say “your definitely getting a 4/10 for creative if you really do believe I am) because I really want the truth and actual reassurance rather than false comfort.

the idea is unique but i think ur mark would heavily depend on how well you conveyed this idea and message. if you literally just wrote she realised its not good, then u would mabeybe marked lower. the idea section of the essay is worth 5 points i think? i'd personally give it a 3 or 4 out of 5. it's an interesting way of looking at the stimulus but tbh all depends on ur way of implying that moral

ksm506 alright, could you perhaps narrow down ur predictions to one ranking rather than 3 its a bit broad. Also id say the story line is like a 5/10 (not trying to put you down) because remember, many markers will not want to be there marking, they probs have other things to do so ur writing must stand out. The story seems a bit disjointed and not really much direction. Of course this is just from what u provided. Also you don't know that 'everyone' guessed 5 or less, they will probably have gotten a few more wrong but idk.

ksm506 ik the exam was ages ago but try rewrite some of ur key sentences, perhaps in your intro or conclusion. from that itll be easier for me to gauge the score you might get. doesnt have to be word for word but try remember the best sentences you used

Illiman Ndiaye well from my recollection, I think I had a little backstory about how as a child she never got much happiness( idk if I’m telling the truth or my memory is false) but as an adult she kind realizes her wrongdoing.

MMHS yh i agree. the markers won't be looking too deep into the actual quality of your pieces. what i mean is they wont try to find any obscure implications and morals in your piece. this is why i avoided clever, complicated phrases as the markers will probably not bat an eye at the sight of it

MMHS well math, I guessed like 10 which is the average amount I think, so an average? For English I think I guessed three or less but I’m solid with the answers I placed so an above average. Numerical reasoning, I only guessed 5 but it seemed like a lot of people guessed more so I would say superior or above average. Verbal reasoning, I’m really worried because for some reason everyone said it was easy but honestly, it was sorta tough so I would say high average and if I’m lucky, above average. Writing, well I think I did ass, so average.

@ksm506 from ur ppredictions imma say maths ha, english sup, vr aa, numerical sup, writing avg (this also depends on persuasive) id say you would get 2 sups, 1ha and 1 aa and 1 avg (you have a decent chance, but considering 6-7 people can get in from ur school that makes it harder)

MMHS Right after the exam, I was confident with my persuasive because normally, I’m never able to add a rebuttal because I’m a slow writer but I was really lucky and was able to right the two body paragraphs and rebuttal as well as the introduction and solution, but now, after three weeks, I’m a bit apprehensive about persuasive

Jamie no maths you will most likely score ha-aa, nr u should get sup, vr it was decently easy i should say, most likely ha, overall id say 1-2 sups, 1 ha, 1 aa and 1 avg.
