Kumon for Better VCE Performance: Worth It?

I'm in a dilemma about whether to rejoin Kumon. I had done it a long time back, and now my parents want me to start again. I've heard that Kumon helps students become super fast and efficient in solving questions due to its repetitive practice method.
Since SEHS places a strong emphasis on time management and I didn't get into SEHS due to bad time management, I'm curious if VCE has a similar focus. I want to understand if Kumon would be beneficial for achieving a high ATAR by improving time management skills in VCE.
Did you do Kumon, and how did it impact your performance in VCE?

I did Kumon for a few years as a child and it was great for mental math strategies. That carried me through further in year 12. HOWEVER, you don't need Kumon to be successful in VCE.

Time management issues can be solved without Kumon, and arguably, will be solved more efficiently without Kumon 🙂

I'm in 8th grade now and getting A and B+ in my schoolwork. I missed out on SEHS, probably because I didn't manage my time well. I left 5-10 questions unanswered and couldn't even guess due to the bell. I had enrolled in Selective Entry Accelerator coaching.

Do you have any suggestions for how I can prepare better in advance for a higher ATAR score?

first of all i would say dw about atars and stuff now, concentrate on the mistakes u made in selective exam and aim to improve from it. like if u were bad in essays, try writing one everyday etc. trust me doing these small things would help u in the long run.

Newbie Which textbooks are you referring to? If you mean school textbooks, then yes, I'm using Grade 8 materials for Science and Humanities. For Math, I'm working with Grade 9 textbooks as part of my advanced Math assignments from my teacher.
