  • Did anyone do the Australian Math competition today?

Did anyone here do the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO) and if so have they got the results for it. As I did the AMC and my school invited me to do the olympiad as well and I was wondering the results for both would come out.

    Other33 wait, did u get in SEHS? Also what were ur results, if you got through to olympiad your skills should be good

        idk I'm in maths extension and we get like different things to do.. we've done the AMC and also the maths olympiad

        ill probably get the chance next year anyways

        I think this is the olympiad as that the amt select for their high performance program

        I didnt get in to SEHS and my results were math-top11,vr-above average,nr-above average,writing above average, rc - below average 😔
        I think my rc score ruined it

            Other33 damn, but hey, you are really good at maths though, i got aa for one maths component and an avg, however i got much better on the English components, mostly top 10's, try out next year with a new perspective and a want for more

                MMHS I got my AMC score today - I got distinction and top 7% in the state - 83/135. did you get yours yet

                    Other33 yea i got distinction, 81/135, top 7.4% of the state, not country by the way

                      amc website says region just indicates the state/territory you are in, if it was the country we would probably be much lower around the top 15-18% mark

                      he's crazy good at maths like insane, and he got two top 10's for eng and 1 aa but he's only been here for 6 years and eng is his second language

                      i honestly did not prepare for this at all, like I did 1 practice test from it quite leisurely, so I kind of just thought this test was nothing much, but I probably would've gotten much better with preparation, little disappointed
